Dust off your favorite Regency era frock and grab your parasol, because it's time for Jenni & Sarah's Third Annual Regency Picnic, otherwise known as the Third Annual Rained Out Regency Picnic, seeing as how 200% of our picnics so far have been rained upon! But this year is the year, I can feel it. . .
The picnic will be held at the Brewster Gardens in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This quaint little spot of grass is conveniently located right on the Plymouth water front, an area filled with history and pretty vistas. |

Anyone who would like to join us are welcome! Folks without costumes will not be turned away, but I guarantee you'll wish you played dress-up along with us - It's simply more fun that way!
You'll also want to be sure and bring your own picnic lunch and a blanket (or some such thing) to picnic on, as these things will not be provided. Please also consider the sun, and prepare accordingly, be it with a parasol, sunscreen, or maybe both!
The picnic itself will start at 12:00, but we're planning to meet earlier than that to tour the local (as in, short walk from the Brewster gardens) historic home, "Spooner House." It was built in the 18th century, so is a bit before our time, but is furnished with 18th-19th century furniture - and I'm assured some of that is the Regency era. ;) The cost to tour is $4.50 for an adult. If you wish to tour the house, please email me and let me know so that if the crowd is large enough, I can organize a group tour so that we may all go in together!
To RSVP (not required, but especially appreciated!) or to ask any questions, simply drop us a line at:
costuming.nuts (at) gmail (dot) com
It would be great if you could put "Picnic" in the subject line so we know that your email is not spam. Thanks!
Hope to see you in Plymouth this summer! :)
